Let me introduce myself, my name is Yohanes Don Bosko Nurak. Here I will explain a little about the SIKKA Old Church.

The old SIKKA church itself is a historical building site left by the Portuguese in SIKKA Village, Lela sub-district, SIKKA Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province.

This church was built in 1896 and this church building was designed by Pastor Antonius Dijkman Sj. An architect who was also the designer of the Jakarta Cathedral Church. This Church was successfully built and inaugurated by Pastor J. Engbres on December 24, 1899.

The architecture of this church building not only follows the Renaissance and Baroque styles that developed in mainland Europe, but also adopts elements from local culture and becomes an attraction for the church.

Alone. This church building was also renovated in 1931 and 1952. because the roof was eaten away by rust. Later, this church has also been determined to be the oldest church on the island of Flores...
